SPEARFISHING

in cape town

Spearfishing in Cape Town:

The art of Spearfishing is the most sustainable and noble method of harvesting fish from the sea.  It is a skill, an art and a sport that you will find practiced daily in Cape Town and the surrounds of South Africa.

Having it’s base in breathold diving, Spearfishing can only legally be done in most of the world on snorkel, and not on scuba. This presents a fighting chance for the hunted and does not give the hunter a too large advantage. The art of hunting fish on a single breath and successfully landing them, is one that many have come to enjoy, practice and refine the skills of.

The courses presented below have been applied to spearo’s that now hold both national and international records, reaching depths of 30-40m of spearing, respectively. You now have the opportunity of learning from this training and starting your journey as a spearo, or gaining and applying the same skills to your sport in order to dive deeper and more professionally.
